I know you have seen COMPUTER, still computing machine means everything including INPUT, OUTPUT, CPU.Later you will learn about what are INPUT, OUTPUT, CPU,etc.

 This is called Computer.

You all know that the computer is a very essential part of daily workings. Whether you are in school, college, or any kind of office. What is important is to learn understanding & basic problem-solving knowledge if you are not a student & if you are a student then every small thing of the computer that will help you to be tech-savvy.

 It's a good idea to start with the basic knowledge of computer parts & what is the working of it. I personally recommend to all of you guys that don't just learn basics, go further to learn more whenever you have free time. Because a hard time will remind you every second of your spending of free time.

As you can see in above image, There are many components of computer.

Do you know when you just say computer there are so many things that are hidden inside one word "COMPUTER",

Every computer consist of four major parts:

1. Input
2. Output
3. 'C'entral 'P'rocessing 'U'nit (CPU)
4. Memory

 

Ø  ᐅ What is an input device?

 

Anything you will add to the computer (microphone, keyboard, mouse, and scanner). That means devices by which you will able to use the computer wisely. Have a look below:

 ᐅ What is an output device?

 

The output is how the computer gives back to you. For example, Monitor which help you to see the computer as an output, printer which gives you typed information on paper, Speaker which gives you the sound of a favorite song. Have a look below:

 

ᐅ What is Central Processing Unit?

 

A most important part of a computer is the Central Processing Unit called CPU. This part of the computer plays a vital role in everything which you experiences. Why does it call Central Processing Unit because whatever happens in the computer that goes from CPU, whatever command you give to the computer get processed by CPU only. That's why It also called as "Bain of Computer" like human Brain. If a human's brain stops none of the organs of your body will work.

 

ᐅ What is memory?

Memory, as you know, will help to store the data, commonly also known as Random Access Memory(RAM).

 

As we learn there are four main parts of the computer but also there are other three parts which are also important in the computer which are not included in your study but plays as important as other do.

 

·         ᐅ Motherboard: You all have seen a green color plate having so many electronics components like capacitors, ICs, Transistors, PCI cards, etc. called the motherboard. 

 

·         ᐅ Power Supply: It is also called as SMPS. a small square metallic box having so many cables & few connectors. It supplies electrical power to the electrical load of a computer.

 

·         ᐅ Expansion Card: An Expansion Card fits into the expansion slot in a computer and is where you can add additional capabilities such as for video or graphic performance.
